- Team structure: consultants, registrars, junior medical staff, midwives, nurses, allied health and administrative/support staff.
- Clinical services: obstetrics, antenatal and postnatal care, labour and birth, gynaecology, emergency care, surgery, outpatient services and specialist/high-risk services.
- Role of the team: multidisciplinary team that works together to provide safe, patient-centred care.
- Teaching and research: department works closely with the University of Tasmania and has a role in training medical students, junior doctors and specialist trainees.
- Referral role: RHH provides tertiary and specialist care for patients from across Tasmania, including complex cases referred from other hospitals.

The role
- Provide high-quality obstetric and gynaecological care
- Assess and manage patients across inpatient and outpatient settings
- Participate in emergency, theatre and on-call services
- Support teaching, supervision and multidisciplinary teamwork
- Contribute to quality improvement, research and clinical governance
Skills and Experience
- Medical degree and current AHPRA registration
- Relevant obstetrics and gynaecology clinical experience
- Strong communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills
- Commitment to patient safety, quality improvement and teaching
- Ability to participate in on-call and emergency services as required
