How much do allied health assistants earn?

A full-time allied health worker in Australia can earn between $80,000 and $115,00 per annum [depending on their experience level]. A locum allied health assistant on the other hand, is expected to make $1200- $1500 daily.

What qualifications do I need to become an allied health worker in Australia?

To practise Allied health in Australia, you must be recognised by the National Registration and Accreditation Scheme [NRAS], or have a Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance.


For roles in Speech Pathology you will need to be SPA registered, whilst for roles in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Psychology you will need to be AHPRA registered. 


For roles in Exercise Physiology you need to be ESSA registered.
